Los Angeles Clippers vs. San Antonio Spurs (February 18, 2012)

The Clippers played the Spurs on February 17th. I was there. The Clippers dominated the first quarter, but got killed in the second. It was 70-67 after the third. The Spurs were winning. The Clippers were up 3. Chris Paul caught the inbounds, but threw it backcourt before touching the ground because he wanted it to be backcourt for more space to run. Gary Neal intercepted the pass and made a 3 with 5.6 seconds left. Then, the Spurs won 103-100 in OT.

Finalists for player of the game:

Tony Parker: 30 Pts, 3 Reb, 10 Ast

Blake Griffin: 22 Pts, 20 Reb, 2 Ast

Gary Neal: 17 Pts, 3 Reb, 3 Stl

Chris Paul: 21 Pts, 2 Reb, 6 Ast, 2 Stl

Los Angeles Clippers vs. Portland Trailblazers (February 16, 2012)

Los Angeles Clippers vs. Washington Wizards (February 15, 2012)

On February 15, the Clippers played the Wizards. This was great for the Clippers. The Wizards only had Young and Wall while almost everyone on the Clippers is great. Of course, the Clippers have aquired Young from Washington since then. Also, the Wizards aquired Nene from the Nuggets. The Clippers would win 102-84. John Wall had a fantastic game with 18 points, 6 rebounds, 12 assists, 1 steal, and 1 block. Blake Griffin had an even better game with 23 points, 15 rebounds, 3 assists, and 1 steal. JaVale Mcgee had 18 points, 5 rebounds, and 2 blocks. Chris Paul had 16 points, 3 rebounds, 9 assists, and 1 steal.

The player of the game goes to Blake Griffin.

Los Angeles Clippers vs. Dallas Mavericks (February 13, 2012)

This was a very close game between the Mavericks and the Clippers. The score was 96-92. Sadly, the Mavericks won. At the end, the teams kept on scoring. I was watching. I remember Caron Butler missing a wide-open three that might've lost the game for them.

Here are the finalists for player of the game:

Chris Paul: 16 points, 5 rebounds, 9 assists, 2 steals
Dirk Nowitzki: 22 points, 7 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals

Caron Butler: 23 points, 8 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal

Brendan Haywood: 10 points, 9 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal

The player of the game was Chris Paul.

Los Angeles Clippers vs. Charlotte Bobcats (February 11, 2012)

The Clippers played the Bobcats. The Clippers won the game 111-86. It was not close! The Clippers dominated the game. I'm not even sure how it was that close. It was the Bobcats' 14th straight loss. The only reason that I like the Bobcats is that Michael Jordan is the owner of the Charlotte Bobcats! He is the first former NBA Player to ever own a team.

Here are the finalists for player of the game:

Chris Paul: 18 points, 5 rebounds, 14 assists, 2 steals
Kemba Walker: 19 points, 1 rebound, 4 assists, 1 steal

Blake Griffin: 21 points, 10 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 block

Cory Maggette: 12 points, 6 rebounds, 2 assists

It was close with Blake Griffin and Chris Paul, but Chris Paul won by 4 player of the game points!

Los Angeles Clippers vs. Philadelphia 76ers (February 10, 2012)

A week ago, the Clippers played the 76ers. The 76ers were up 77-76 with under 5 seconds left. Chris Paul hit a jumper with 3.2 seconds left to get the lead 78-77. The 76ers could not make a shot, so the Clippers ended up winning 78-77. I think that both teams played a fantastic game.

Here are the finalists for player of the game:

Chris Paul: 24 points, 4 rebounds, 4 assists, 1 steal
Andre Iguodala: 12 points, 8 rebounds, 7 assists, 1 steal

Blake Griffin: 16 points, 11 rebounds, 4 assists, 1 steal

Elton Brand: 12 points, 10 rebounds

The way I pick player of the game I give points. Chris Paul had one more point for player of the game than Blake Griffin, so I have to give it to CP3, especially for his game-winning jumper.

Los Angeles Clippers vs. Cleveland Cavaliers (February 8, 2012)

On Wednesday, the Clippers played the Cavaliers. This was Chauncey Billups' first game out. The starter instead of him was Randy Foye. He got 15 points, 1 steal, 2 assists, and 1 rebound. That was pretty good, but hopefully he will improve by starting. Ramon Sessions started because Kyrie Irving had a concussion. You will see his stats in finalists for player of the game. The Clippers ended up losing, 99-92!

Here are the finalists for player of the game:

Blake Griffin: 25 points, 15 rebounds, 1 assist, and 1 steal

Ramon Sessions: 24 points, 2 rebounds, 13 assists, 1 steal, and 1 block

Chris Paul: 16 points, 3 rebounds, 12 assists, and 3 steals

Antawn Jamison: 27 points, 8 rebounds, 3 assists, and 1 block

It was close between Ramon Sessions and Antawn Jamison, but player of the game goes to Ramon Sessions!

Los Angeles Clippers @ Orlando Magic (February 6, 2012)

The Clippers played the Magic a few days ago, and it was an exciting game. At the half, the score was 47-42 Magic. During the game, Chauncey Billups left due to an Achilles injury he received when running for a loose ball. He will be out for the season, and may even retire! After the fourth quarter, it was tied, and went into overtime. Caron Butler made a three, pushing them ahead in overtime. Jason Richardson had a chance to give the Magic the win, but missed, despite getting 20 points in the game. The final score was 107-102 Clippers. Chris Paul had 29 points, 7 rebounds, 8 assists, and 2 steals. Dwight Howard had 33 points, 14 rebounds, 1 assist, 2 steals, and 2 blocks. Blake Griffin got 18 points, and 10 rebounds.

Chris Paul: 29 points, 7 rebounds, 8 assists, and 2 steals
Dwight Howard: 33 points, 14 rebounds, 1 assist, 2 steals, and 2 blocks
Blake Griffin: 18 points, 10 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 steal, and 1 block
Jason Richardson: 20 points, 3 assists, 1 rebound, and 1 steal
The player of the game goes to Dwight Howard.

Los Angeles Clippers vs. Washington Wizards (February 4, 2012)

Yesterday the Clippers went to Washington to face the Wizards. The Clippers dominated the whole game. Both Blake Griffin and DeAndre Jordan got double-doubles. John Wall was close, but did not get there. The Clippers won 107-81. They would've won, but Blake Griffin was sitting out at the end because they were up by so much.

Finalists for player of the game:

Blake Griffin: 21 points, 11 rebounds, 8 assists, 2 steals, 1 block

John Wall: 14 points, 5 rebounds, 7 assists, 1 steal

DeAndre Jordan: 18 points, 11 rebounds, 3 blocks

Player of the game goes to Blake Griffin because if they didn't take him out at the end, he would've gotten a triple-double.

Who do you think was player of the game?

Denver Nuggets @ Los Angeles Clippers (February 2, 2012)

Blake Griffin (#32) going up for a dunk.
This game was close at the half, being 54-51 Nuggets, but a stretch in the third quarter brought the score to 86-67 Nuggets. The final score was 112-91 Nuggets. Danilo Gallinari got 21 points, and made all of his 5 attempted 3-pointers. Ty Lawson had 18, Arron Afflalo had 15 and Timofey Mozgov had 11 points. For the Clippers, Blake Griffin had 18, Chris Paul had 15, and Caron Butler had 11. Griffin and Paul were both voted for the All-Star team, giving the Clips 2 players on the All-Star team for the first time since 1976. Chauncey Billups, who played great when the Clippers beat Denver 109-105, had only 8 points and 3 assists this game against his former team. Here are the finalists:

Finalists for Player of the Game
Danilo Gallinari: 21 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 assists
Blake Griffin: 18 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 blocks, and 1 steal
Ty Lawson: 18 points, 6 assists, 4 rebounds, and 1 steal
Chris Paul: 15 points, 9 assists, 1 rebound, and 1 steal
It was tough between Griffin and Gallinari, but the player of the game is Danilo Gallinari

Kenyon Martin

Yesterday, Kenyon Martin signed with the Clippers! I did not think this would be the team that he would sign with. I thought he would sign with the Lakers. Now I'm wondering if he will be the back-up to Blake Griffin. I think he will be.

Kenyon Martin was the 1st pick in the 2000 NBA Draft by the New Jersey Nets. He's played as number 4 for most of his career, but he will be playing as number 2. During the lockout, he played in China. His team was the Xinjiang Flying Tigers. He's played for the New Jersey Nets and Denver Nuggets. He played for Cincinnati in college.

All-Rookie first team

Do you think he will back-up Blake Griffin?

Los Angeles Clippers vs. Utah Jazz (February 1, 2012)

To kick-off the month of February, the Clippers played against the Jazz. The final score was very close. The Clippers won 107-105! It was amazing that the Jazz got so close to winning. I think it was because of the star impact by Al Jefferson. Usually, Devin Harris does better, but not this game. It is very fun to do this post.

Finalists for player of the game:

Chris Paul: 34 points, 5 rebounds, 11 assists, 3 steals
Al Jefferson: 27 points, 12 rebounds, 4 assists, 1 steal

Blake Griffin: 31 points, 14 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 steal, 3 blocks

Player of the game goes to Chris Paul.

All-Star Starters from the Clippers for 2012

A few days ago the 2012 NBA All-Stars were announced! These are even more exciting because there are two starters from the Clippers. They are Blake Griffin and Chris Paul. It will be very exciting to see them play in the game.

This year, it is very doubtful that Blake Griffin will be in the dunk contest. He would, but he doesn't want to. DeAndre Jordan will probably take his spot. He says that he will be in it on one condition. That condition is that he doesn't have to play against his teammate, Blake Griffin.

Do you think that anyone else from the Clippers should've made the 2012 All-Star game?

Los Angeles Clippers vs. Memphis Grizzlies (January 26, 2012)

The Clippers played the Grizzlies on January 26th. It was a great game. Both teams wore their throwback jerseys. The Clippers used to be the San Diego Clippers! Blake Griffin had an amazing up and under dunk. It is worth going on ESPN to see. The Clippers won 98-91.

These are the finalists for player of the game:

Blake Griffin: 20 points, 9 rebounds, 8 assists

Marc Gasol: 18 points, 11 rebounds, 6 assists

Chris Paul: 18 points, 7 rebounds, 7 assists, 2 steals

Rudy Gay: 24 points, 6 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 block

Blake Griffin and Marc Gasol were close, but player of the game goes to Blake Griffin!

Los Angeles Clippers vs. New Jersey Nets (January 16, 2012)

Today, I went to the Clippers vs. Nets game with my friend Riley and my dad. It was my second year in a row going to the Clippers game on Martin Luther King Day. Chris Paul was questionable to play. Blake Griffin had only 4 points in the first half, but finished strong in the second half with 14 points in that half. Marcus Camby got his first double-double of the season, finishing with 12 points and 11 rebounds. Griffin also had a double-double. The game was fun, I just wish the Clips could've won. Los Angeles Clippers vs Milwaukee Bucks (January 7th, 2012)

Yesterday, I went to the Los Angeles Clippers vs Milwaukee Bucks game! I ended up going by telling my dad that they were playing 2 days ago and he said, "Why don't we go there instead of going to their house?". We went with my friend Riley and his dad. Riley recently created Celtics Nation and Thunder Universe!

They picked us up. We were going to ride the train, but it was to late. We ended up passing the stadium, finding a parking spot ten minutes after the game was supposed to start, finding a shortcut, crossing the street, running through Staples Center, having to go to a different aisle, and making the game 2 seconds before tip-off.

After the first quarter, the score was 15-18 and the Clippers were winning. There were a bunch of amazing dunks by Blake Griffin throughout the game, including an alley-oop from Chris Paul. Lob city! When the first half ended, the score was 40-38 and the Bucks were winning! When the 3rd quarter ended, the score was 65-72 and the Clippers were winning. The Clippers ended up winning 92-86!

Here are some halftime stats:

Chauncey Billups: 6 points

Blake Griffin: 10 points, 8 rebounds

Chris Paul: 4 points

Caron Butler: 6 points, 4 rebounds

In the third quarter Caron Butler got 14 points! That brought him to 20!

Blake Griffin got to a double-double with 6:14 left in the game. That brought him to 20 points, 10 rebounds.

Here are the stats leaders:

Chauncey Billups didn't do as good as normal from beyond the three point line, finishing 2 out of 6. (Same stats from beyond the three point line as Caron Butler)

Here is a picture of a sign I got:

Did you watch the game?

Who do you think was player of the game? I think it was Blake Griffin.
