All-Star Starters from the Clippers for 2012

A few days ago the 2012 NBA All-Stars were announced! These are even more exciting because there are two starters from the Clippers. They are Blake Griffin and Chris Paul. It will be very exciting to see them play in the game.

This year, it is very doubtful that Blake Griffin will be in the dunk contest. He would, but he doesn't want to. DeAndre Jordan will probably take his spot. He says that he will be in it on one condition. That condition is that he doesn't have to play against his teammate, Blake Griffin.

Do you think that anyone else from the Clippers should've made the 2012 All-Star game?

Los Angeles Clippers vs Milwaukee Bucks (January 7th, 2012)

Yesterday, I went to the Los Angeles Clippers vs Milwaukee Bucks game! I ended up going by telling my dad that they were playing 2 days ago and he said, "Why don't we go there instead of going to their house?". We went with my friend Riley and his dad. Riley recently created Celtics Nation and Thunder Universe!

They picked us up. We were going to ride the train, but it was to late. We ended up passing the stadium, finding a parking spot ten minutes after the game was supposed to start, finding a shortcut, crossing the street, running through Staples Center, having to go to a different aisle, and making the game 2 seconds before tip-off.

After the first quarter, the score was 15-18 and the Clippers were winning. There were a bunch of amazing dunks by Blake Griffin throughout the game, including an alley-oop from Chris Paul. Lob city! When the first half ended, the score was 40-38 and the Bucks were winning! When the 3rd quarter ended, the score was 65-72 and the Clippers were winning. The Clippers ended up winning 92-86!

Here are some halftime stats:

Chauncey Billups: 6 points

Blake Griffin: 10 points, 8 rebounds

Chris Paul: 4 points

Caron Butler: 6 points, 4 rebounds

In the third quarter Caron Butler got 14 points! That brought him to 20!

Blake Griffin got to a double-double with 6:14 left in the game. That brought him to 20 points, 10 rebounds.

Here are the stats leaders:

Points:

Brandon Jennings: 21

Blake Griffin: 22

Rebounds:

Drew Gooden: 13

Blake Griffin: 14

Assists:

Brandon Jennings: 7

Chris Paul: 7

Steals:

Brandon Jennings: 2

Chris Paul: 4

Blocks:

Jon Leuer: 2

DeAndre Jordan: 3

Chauncey Billups didn't do as good as normal from beyond the three point line, finishing 2 out of 6. (Same stats from beyond the three point line as Caron Butler)

Here is a picture of a sign I got:

Did you watch the game?

Who do you think was player of the game? I think it was Blake Griffin.

DeAndre Jordan

Since I've told you about my two favorite players on the Clippers, it is time that I tell you about my third favorite, DeAndre Jordan! DeAndre Jordan is a great player. He is also a great dunker. I think he is the fourth best dunker in the league after Blake Griffin, Dwight Howard, and Serge Ibaka. Him and Blake Griffin make a great front-court.

DeAndre Jordan was the 35th pick in the 2008 NBA Draft by the Los Angeles Clippers. In one of his games, he was the third person to ever have 10 dunks in one game!  That tells you how much of a monster this guy is! He is by far the best center the the Clippers have!

Here is a picture of him:

Have you ever heard of DeAndre Jordan?

Who do you think is the best center on the Clippers?

Blake Griffin

Today, I think I'll tell you about the last rookie of the year, Blake Griffin. In 2009, Blake Griffin was the first pick in the NBA Draft by the Los Angeles Clippers! Before his first season started, Blake Griffin injured his knee! He had to sit out the whole season, so the Clippers were still terrible and tickets were very cheep.

Just because of Blake Griffin, tickets went up by about $10! He was healthy enough to play last season. I think he got better because of his injury somehow! He was a monster last season. Here are his two nicknames and how he got them. The first is The Blake Show. That is because people only came to Clippers games to see him play. Blake Griffin's second nickname was The Poster Child. That was because he has so many amazing dunks.

Awards:

2010-2011 Rookie of the Year

2010-2011 Slam Dunk Contest Champion

1 time all-star

Here are my Blake Griffin pennants:

Do you like Blake Griffin?
What is another nickname you think he should have?
